How do I set bar's to Clip length?

Post by Supro7 » Wed Oct 20, 2004 11:09 pm

Sorry if this is a dumb question...but I am trying to figure out how to adjust the amount of bar's to a set audio clip.

I have a 13 second clip that I want to be 4 bars long. I don't want to stretch, add silence or any other way adjust the clip (including change the tempo.) I just want to be able to adjust the beat-time ruler so that the 1 is at the beginning of my clip and 4 is at the end of my clip.

I can get somewhat close by messing with the signature x/x box...but I can't get it close enough. I feel like I should be able to somehow grab that 4 and drag it but I can't!

Thanks for any help!

Read up on warp markers and how to create/delete them etc in the manual.

I played with the warp markers and I couldn't get the audio to fit the bars without changing the audio...but I will work harder at it. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!!!!!!!!

while doing so use the metronome, its a good guide for syncing the audio up properly
