Multiple controlers on USB hub

Post by baseimpulse » Fri Aug 22, 2008 12:38 am

Hey everyone. I am new to using ableton 7 and i wanna really go crazy on it but im having a wee bit of trouble. I am using a trigger finger and a x station and they are both on a USB hub on my MBP. I go into the midi and know that my x session is on port 1, however there is no port assignment for the trigger finger and i would assume because its on a hub that it would use the same port... but im not sure why it wil not let me program the TF when the x station works fine.... is there something i am doing wrong??? id love to know what you guys recommend i do.

thank you!!

they are not showing up as individual devices? i have two bcr's, a midi patch bay, and a mpk49 all on a single hub, and everything shows up for me, using macbook & kensington hub.

the trigger finger has sometimes problems with the usb-connection, try another USB-input of your Macbook and use a powered usb-hub. the problem is known by m-audio
