Moving tracks is painfully slow...

Post by Audiophile » Mon Aug 25, 2008 1:47 pm

Hi all,

Dragging and dropping (ie. moving) tracks in the session view is painfully slow, especially if I try and move more than one at one. It's near impossible to do if you have a few tracks playing.

On Mac OS X, Live 7.0.10.

Cheers.

what type of computer are you using? How much RAM? I know that moving clips in arrangement view can be slow, but session view nomally shouldn't give you such problems ...

Hi,

Generally, the higher the CPU load, the slower the GUI operations.
(audio has always highest priority...)

It's an iMac (10.4.11), 2GB RAM. It's not the biggest problem but moving a few GUI items should be fairly trivial?

Live has crashed on me again whilst moving a track. Live also crashes each time it tries to recover from the undo history. 30 mins work lost.
