MPD24 causing Live to Freeze?

Every time I have my MPD24 hooked up via USB, Live will open, and work fine for a while, then for no apparent reason it stops responding, the screen goes blank, and I can't get it to respond unless I unplug the MPD..

Has anyone else had this problem? I am running Windows Vista 32bit.
I used to have the same sort of problem with Reason 4.0, when I shut it down, it wouldn't start up again until I unplugged the MPD..

Sorry if this is a little inarticulate, and thanks for any input.

We never came across this kind of behavior and the MPD is pretty popular and was also tested over here.
Anyone else heard of this? Did you already contact AKAI as it seems not to be related to the aplication you're using?
