Well, it's about time for me to "upgrade" a little bit so I'm thinking what should I buy.. Guess who will gonna help me on this..
Firstly I will tell you how my thoughts about this..
I don't really like tweaking sound, fx, sends etc with my mouse so I want something to control all of them via midi controllers.
I was going to buy the Novation Remote Zero SL but after a litte research over the net I am thinking the combination of Behringer's BCR 2000 and BCF 2000.
Use of the BCF 2000:
Preset1: The 8 faders will control the faders "1-8" on Ableton and the rotaries will midimapped to the "pan" of each channel
Preset2: The 8 faders will control the faders "9-16" on Ableton and the rotaries will midimapped to the "pan" of each channel
etc.....
So, when I want to control the faders 1-8 I will call up the Preset1, when I want to control the faders 9-16 I will call up the Preset2 and so on..
Is this possible?
On the BCR 2000 now:
I want this controller for my soft synths mostly.. What I mean..
I want to make a unique preset for any of the soft synths I use.. Like: Preset1: NI Massive, Preset2: DSP Discovery Pro, Preset3: NI FM8, etc.
So, for example, when I want to make a lead with my Discovery Pro I will call up the Preset2 and all of rotaries of the BCR will control the synth.. (Of course I will assign every parameter before all of this)
Can these presets be saved so I can all them whenever I want to use them instantly every time?
I am not djing with Live so I don't want any dj-friendly controller.. I work only in arrangement..
For the effects and all the others I'm searching for a similar to Evolution X-Session(the old one) controller so I can assign whatever I want each time without saving it for future purpose..
So guys, what do you think? I haven't ever worked with midi controllers in particular except my "cheapy" M-Audio Keystation 49e(maybe will upgrade to Axiom 61 in the future)
**Before you tell me "use the search" button, I have already searched here and over the net but my questions are very specific so I didn't get any answer that cheers me up**
Thanx in advance!
JM
