I'm not understanding the criteria you're judging it on- if it's based on facts that seems like it wouldn't make sense
Obama wins, Dems will crush the weak-ass republicans cuz...
That is an important point b0unce that the media in the United States refuses or is too politically correct to acknowledge. The racial component alone guarantees McCain Florida and the entire south.
This may seem counter intuitive considering the large African-America populations in the south. But thanks to gerrymandering the Republicans have been able to minimize this. Plus, 90%+ of African-Americans already vote democrat so where is the ground to be gained there?
Add to this that the under 25 demographic will not vote, and internet campaigning does not lead to wins (see Howard Dean). It is going to be VERY hard for Obama to win.

like the under 25 vote you mentioned, I thought there could be a chance that Obama might have peaked their interest enough to get them out
all the stuff I've been reading online seems to go on about how different things are this time
and while you say internet campaigning doesn't lead to wins, one article I linked from the NYtimes was saying how the viewing figures on TV were higher than the Olympics, the oscars and Idol
it's not just the under 25s who get more news online any more - can't remember the last time I watched news on TV
whatever happens it's going to be interesting
the thought that McCain is 72 and Palin could well end up president is realyl quite bizarre - but after Bush I guess anything is possible
I disagree.
racism - it's everywhere, the south is the most open about it. there's also guns and god which are big in the south. the south usually goes Republican, to say Obama won't get it doesn't really say anything.
kids under 25 don't vote - omfg incredibly wrong, that's blanket statement. if anything it's been shown that Obama is getting young people excited about politics again, as did Hillary. there have been many news articles about this.
"90%+ of African-Americans already vote democrat" - Obama will get even more African Americans to the polls.
"internet campaigning does not lead to wins" - that's ridiculous. here we are talking politics. I have one relative that sends me the most brainwashed right wing hateful political 'humor' ever, you know that has to help solidify a voting base. like anyone actually reads newspapers or relies on their snail mail.
Grifter - you are an insult to Australians, move to the UK if you want to be an ass.
what's making me LOL is Palin's daughter.
- she gets knocked up as a teenager
- her mom, while on office cut back funding for teenage mothers
- her soon to be husband put on his myspace page "I'm a fucking hick" "I don't want kids."
- now the soon to be husband has been flown to the convention to be with his soon to be in-laws. AWKWARD!!!

Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

Baby's daddy is in hard position (no pun intended)
Could you image if the parents of the daughter you just knocked up came to you and said,
"You have to marry our daughter, not because it's the right thing to do by her, but because it's the right thing to do for your country!"
good news is according to the Wall Street Journal this a.m. the Obama campaign has seen a jump in the polls between 4 to 11 points - depending on the poll.
The republicans are a joke

Young people in this country are all talk. Sure, they will act all idealistic but when it comes to actually making it to the voting booth just about anything else will take priority.Tone Deft wrote:kids under 25 don't vote - omfg incredibly wrong, that's blanket statement. if anything it's been shown that Obama is getting young people excited about politics again, as did Hillary. there have been many news articles about this.
Even if Obama gets them out in record numbers (which he probably will) he will have a hard time against the older more consistant voting populous. If it will be enough remains to be seen.
Honestly, I dont support either side. I liked Obama at first but lately he has turned me off and made me realize he is just as full of shit as the rest. American elections in my voting lifetime (im 28) have been like voting between Aids and Cancer.
