aren't we running to an era of self-generated music, that might evince all creativity?
I love effects done by glitch or livecut, a simple pattern can quickly sound really impressive.. but... where is real creativity gone?

"yeah, it's my little secret..."
... just a cool plugin that transforms me into a fake brilliant sound geek...
It is obvious why so much of those are released, and why so many people are looking for THE ultimate plugin (I was one of them, but for now that's over: I'm too much pretentious

i.m.h.o. it's just 99% eyecandy..
they tried the same thing with Replicant: being different for the sake of being different..
but what should've been different is functionality, not just the interface itself..
the 'glitchers' market is pretty much saturated and this is just an attempt to brake from the 'horizontal A>B sequenced' norm..
loads of glitchers on the market that do exactly the same, and better..
randomization is such overrated marketing lingo..
I'll stick to Reaktor which gives me plenty of random and humanizing,
though with an interface that doesn't try to keep up appearances..

Soon there will be self arranging and self generating composing tools i guess.....then is the time to go back to the roots and keep it plain simple.

I'll certainly take a look at it because I love some of Audio Damage's other stuff -- Dubstation and BIGSEQ for sure.
Question about this type of "randomization" tool: How do you use it, and others like it, as an effect? If you set it up and hit play, do you always get the exact same sequence of randomization, so that you can produce a repeatable effect every time you play your tracks? Or do you have to capture the resulting sound and place it back into your mix in some other way?

I put such plugs on a return track, feed stuff in, and feed it back on itself. But to be honest I don't use them so much these days. My music has gone off in a different direction.

Replicant is a dog. It's buggy and they admit it, but don't fix it, and it generates background noise with no input signal in Live.Stace wrote:In your opinion.
