ok, since Ctrl + , opens up preferences
why not have it CLOSE preferences the second time you hit this combo of keys?
it does so with midi map, key map, why not with the "preferences" box???

I believe that was the answer I got when I asked ableton about this...
although I agree that the same keyboard action should open and close prefs!
