Hmmm, not sure about you but I'd rather not be smelling the crotch of some deep south US hillbilly, and apparently most californians smell of plastic.

Dunno about the french, but on a personal level I quite like a girl with hairy armpits. Mmmmmmm, musky, earthy odours. Hrrmph hrrrmph

This is awesome when human beings can rank on each other on opposite sides of the planet ~ Something has to be said about that

In close to real time at that

hey, just to defend some of the intelligent freaks of nature in the US, we do not all believe the BS. i get my media from all over the world. in fact, i had to watch the BBC to get TV coverage on protests happening in my own country (sure there's indymedia, but i don't have to wait for TV to buffer ;p).

not everyone in this country is stupid. it just happens that the idiots have the money and the connections to get their voices all over, while the rest of us are putting our noses to the grindstone and just working to get rid of the idiots without being glorymongers. ;)

everytime i give a homeless person money to eat for the day im doing something to make a difference in just one small instance, thats all i can do.
from the same post even.

ya know, if you tried to physically pick up and move a large bookshelf by yourself, you would probably hurt yourself. the wiser approach would be to take a few tools and break it down into its smaller pieces, and move it one piece at a time. it might take longer to do, but you would accomplish your goal and inevitably learn something about the structure and the way it worked.

point being: if you try to solve the worlds ills all at once, you will become broken and jaded (sound familiar?). but if you take it one piece at a time, you will affect change and perhaps learn something about the world itself, as well as what kind of human being you are.

there is no world possible without conflict. it is the nature of our being. it is how you deal with, try to solve, and learn from that conflict that defines who you are.

i would rather spend my life doing the little things to try and affect change in this world, even it means only small changes, than to spend my life depressed and bitching about them and end up bitter.

we are only powerless when we give our power to affect our surroundings away.

ooooohhhh...ok...i get it...

your feelings of helplessness and inadequacy have been translated into uncontrollable fits of rage against anyone who disagrees with you.

sounds about like george w bush's temperament to me...

I know _ reading that back it was a bit harsh - in all honesty I'm still reeling in shock at the current state of the world and when Dubbya got in in the way he did I lost all faith in 'democracy' and Since Tony Blair has so badly let us down I dont even want to know - he was supposed to be the liberal here, so the only real alternative is an even more right wing bunch of fucks.

But as I said in my last defense of my comments - 'the decline and empire gets...' in our case has still been a good standard of living comparatively speaking and that was all I wished on you collectively - whereas like you said, partaking in this war has made us all collectively accessories to murder. I still feel so angry about it I really truly cannot believe the way things have turned out.

And I still believe somewhere in the upper darker echelons of the US halls of power there are some people who had a hand in the WTC attacks. But that's a different story.

well said. and the fact that what we are doing now is exactly the kind of imperialistic meddling that has so pissed off the people tossing our own airplanes back at us bangs the drum of irony as well...

How's that? You say he should leave his friends and family behind cos of the president?
I don't like much about the current Danish government... hell, there's much I don't like about Denmark, but I'm still here cos it's where I was born and shit. I actually feel an obligation to try and change this country for the better, as odds are my kids will be growing up here!

That my friend is what happens when patriotism turns to facist nationalism.
He is neither a terrorist or a hypocrite.
Just someone disatisfied with the status quo.
Seriously binary logic you're using there Milfbait.
Life isn't all absolutes ,black and whites and zero's and ones.
Try adopting some fuzxzy logic into your thought processes.
"It's a sunny morning" does not = "It's going to be Sunny all Day"
I dislike my government here it makes me neither a terrorist or a hypocrite.
It makes me HUMAN .
My aren't the wings of butterflies beautiful and do they not make wonderful perturbations.....

it had it all. from (eco)terrorism to forcing to vote.

Somehow i believe we are going to see some outlandish shit in the next few days. If there ever was a time when more propaganda was floating in the air, i'm glad i missed it.

How they (the wicked media) play it is amazing to see.
I watch in disbelieve when i see people talking about bush like he's the greatest patriot who ever lived.

Regardless of what bush will do or did.
He will be known in history as ' THE DUMBEST FUCK ALIVE'

Sure, you can argue with me there are dumber people then him.
But for conversational sake, lets choose a person with the most documented quotes on video.
You could edit an entire dvd full of busshit, sayin the one idiot remark after another.

And some choice americans have to vote from. A giant doche or a turd sandwich. The snob vs. the hillbilly.

Anyway, the point i wanted to make is this. To anyone still sceptical towards the fact that the media is trying to control your thoughts.
Stay Tuned
The next few days are going to be the most significant days if you wonna spot propaganda. It's a fun game to play propaganda-spotting.

Here's a whole site full in case you missed something.

cheers
