Hi Guys - 2 feature wishlist points (with implementation suggestions)
1. I've only been using live for a month (after 12 years of cubase & logic) but am already feeling really limited by the midi-control assignment options. The 'point & click' manor of the midi assign page is great, & very easy to understand & use, so I can see why this implementation has been chosen, but why not have an 'advanced' option in the settings (or tab inside midi-map mode) where every possible action in live can be key or controller mapped?
Surely this would be a relatively simple development, have no overhead on CPU & splitting 'advanced' from the already enabled 'simple' point & click midi assign mode then would offer more flexibility to users requiring it, while not alienating new users or those with a more basic requirement.
For the relatively straightforward performance needs I have, I'm now having to investigate 3rd party midi translator apps to get around the limitations, but it does seem a bit clunky & unneccesary to have to go this route when it would be so easy (& popular with users from the numerous posts I've read!) to do this in live)
2. displaying multiple waveforms please - for live playing/DJing I can't see why anyone would need stereo displayed as 2 separate waveforms , so an option to sum the stereo waveform display to 1 would save half the on-screen real estate, then an (assignable) button on the top of each waveform could then decide which waveforms clip parameters would display on the left of the waveform display - & maybe these could display as tabs if more than one ....
Cheers
