'campaigning'... is that what they are calling vote rigging now?

Howard Dean I did not pay attention to, but Ron Paul I did. In Ron Paul's case, there was a lot of internet interest and a lot of grassroots effort too. This does not translate to the ballot box for a few reasons.

1- There is significant vote fraud
2- Ron Paul was systematically ignored/marginalized in the (so called) media
3- The election process is fairly well rigged to make it very hard for unexpected candidates to gain ground and make an impact.

This shows the utter failure of the current system to actually represent the people in any meaningful way.

For example, take a bunch of people, and show them the actual positions of the current set of presidential candidates, without revealing which position belongs to which candidate, explain them well and ask them which they would favor and the majority of people on a majority of issues would support Nader. #2 would likely be Ron Paul if he were still running.

Taxation, without representation... We've come full circle...

The reason the poles are showing a slight McCain lead

Is the Dems as well as smarter non-lemming Americans are seeing something interesting in Obama. The Dems especially, can not come up with anything that Obama has accomplished in his time in the Senate. Not one new initiative or proposed legislation. He only pick Biden due to his rep as a dick and pit bull. Obama has no more experience than Hillary had or Palin has. The only reason that people are swooning over Obama, is his last name is not Bush. He is a great speaker, but he is only shoveling bullshit each speach. I will probably have to vote independent this election since both of the candidates have not told me anything but the words "change, change, changes is coming" blah fucking blah. I know how my wallet is going to feel tihe change. More of my paycheck going to the fucking government.

huey - Obama is a Harvard graduate, Palin went to community college. Obama taught constitutional law at Univ of Chicago, Palin helped run a fishing boat. Obama passed dozens of pieces of legislation as a senator, Palin was mayor of a small Alaskan town. as governor she ear marked more money per capita than Obama.

stop being a tool of the media, think for yourself, look some of this stuff up.

between this and the LHC paranoia, it's a really stupid week for news.

I have looked at all the bullshit topics. At this point it is the old lesser of two evils deal. I want the the puppet that is for ending the stupid fucking war. This is the only thing I care about at this point. A president can only push one major agenda during a 4 year term. I want the one that will step up to the plate on the first day and say we are pulling out of Iraq. I think you can see what I am saying...

You are part of the problem.

You're a fucking idiot. You're voting on a BULLSHIT premise for a candidate you refer to as a PUPPET. the same PUPPET who's posturing aggressively against Iran. And it's a bullshit premise because pulling out of Iraq is inevitable. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

you looked up the topics and still can't see much difference between the two? BULLSHIT. never in my life has there been two more different candidates.

McCain brags about a 90% voting record similar to Bush and his camp rants that Obama is the most liberal senator in DC.

I know the topics, they have not changed since they started the parade a year ago. Oh except for the weekly flip flops. Ah fuck it; I am going with the Libertarians again. ( I think you missed my point Tone, probably my typing skills are to blame but, I see I clearly said history shows 1 major change during a 4 year term)

OK. how did Obama flip flop?

you want flip flop? in 2004 McCain started out supporting Kerry, at the end of the election he supported Bush. at the begining of this election he bragged that he had a voting record that was 90% the same as Bush, now he used a New Orleans hurricane as an excuse to not have Bush at his own convention. it used to be Obama as the change candidate, now he's using it (bullshit, he's stated that he's running for Bush's third term.) it used to be Obama wavng the experience flag, now McCain is (because of a Palin, a nobody.) McCain will suck and dick he needs to.

I'm just floored that anyone could consider voting for McCain, amazed the polls are neck and neck.

8 years of Bush and the election is on the verge of heading down the shitter, again.

McCain = Bush

huey - also, why are you comparing Obama and Palin? media brainwashing, that's what they're telling you to do.

bring on the debates, this will be a lot more clear.
