Live 8 - any signs ?
Live 8 - any signs ?
Could it be that we don't see a new Live version this year ?

Didn't you just buy a live 7 upgrade like not even a year ago. Seriously, I can't figure out, how any real number of feature requests, from the feature request section on this forum, could have been handled since last october.
I'm only upgrading for a proper full version cycle. Obviously I can't speak for anybody but myself, but honestly....
I would feel quite silly spending 100 euro on Live 8 just because....
"Its Ableton Live 8"
A lot of people feel, that is exactly what happened with 7, and that is why tons and tons of folk, still have version 6.
Cheers

Typically yes. The announcement was usually in the summer though. Last year it was a little later in the fall. I wouldn't expect anything until near Christmas or after the new year, if then. But that's just a guess.James Fowler wrote:So basically this october then?kb420 wrote:Live 7 was just announced last October. It may be a few months before they announce another update.
Is there a new Live every year?

don't be hurry for live 8,
live 7 became unbuggy 6 month after his first release,
dont want to pay 100 other buck just to do beta tester during 6 month,
i understand ableton need money, but me i need stability,
live 7.0.1 / 7.0.3 / 7.0.5 / 7.0.7/ 7.0.9 were painfull release for me
live 7.0.10 is the first release that work (i mean : i can work with it during many hour without crashing my daw) , but it's not as rock solid as live 6 was

For Live 8 you need to ask in some Bob Geldof's forums...
