beats me: I'm sorry that you're having a difficult time having people listen to your music.... I would suggest that you start up a new post, inviting people to listen to your music, but that would seem inappropriate at this point. I'm sorry that you find my post egocentric - but I guess it couldn't be avoided, considering what I'm attempting to do (basically, letting people know that
I, am giving away one of
MY tracks, at
MY MYspace page, for free, every Monday) I just figured people might appreciate being told where they can hear new music.... I totally want to know when music is being shared. Some people might remember some of the video stuff I was posting up when I first started developing my show two years ago...and they might remember that it was all done in Ableton, using a lot of the softwarefeatures - and consequently made developing my show that much easier with all of their input. I must have missed the Board Sticky that I needed to write a certain number of posts before I could tell people I was making music, and invite them to comment on it.
Done 100% in Ableton 7.
And, yes, to answer your question, other music forums, and this one in the past, usually react better.... stuff like "I liked the intro, but the break didn't cut it for me...." or "Throw some efx on the guitar sound..." or "Thanks for the free DL."
I would spend more time on the boards if I didn't spend more time doing other things (new music to download every Monday at
www.myspace.com/FRANCODELEON88).
However, if you can suggest other ways to let people know that I'm making music, and where they can find it, I'd gladly accept your suggestions.
Kozak: this particular track "The Edge Remix" is all samples...its pretty straight forward... Ableton + The Original + Some Stutter Edits + Drums + More Drums ...the original track is pretty amazing....
