I don't think that was a very sensible comment about the second world war. Many countries were simply overpowered and had no means to fight back. However, there were amazing efforts to fight back through underground networks, as seen in France.

I think you've been watching to many Hollywood films on WW2. The Americans sure did help, but so did many other allied countries.. UK (who held off Nazi invasion), Canada etc. etc. etc.

I don't think I trust you, simply for the number of !'s that you use.

Pretty sure it wasn't America getting bombed by Germans 24/7 ... America came into the fight when all the long term combatants had atrophied.

The equivalent of a tag-team waiting until the right moment to bring in the fresher wrestler.

god this 'we saved your ass' shit is getting so tired. There are so many wrong things about that - in reality the USA taking all the Credit for that war would be like Britain taking full wrap for this mess in Iraq.

Reagan may have managed to convince the American people that the Russians were the evil empire who were up to no good - but if we were to re run WW2 and take out the russians the results would have been very different - in fact if the USA fought Hitler alone they probably would have lost.

John Wayne didn't actually fight in the war, all the gung ho hero shit was made in hollywood.

I dont know about you guys but all this political talk in this forum is just annoying who cares its all just different points of view from being in different parts of he world none of it really matters and its not worth spouting off about .
