Good news! How did they accomplish that? Isn't there latency inherent in PCI buses?djsynchro wrote:It is now the same as the DAW's audio buffer! "Progress has been made"
Anyone got the UAD-2 already??
There's latency inherent in doing anything PCIe is way faster and it's a newer card and a new driver, so now the latency is the same as all your other plugs,
There is also a new "Live" (nothing to do with Ableton live) mode which cranks the CPU and doesn't do any buffering so you can record things and use UAD plugs with minimum latency. I can't get this to work with Ableton live though.
On the upside I can get latency down to 64 samples which is good for recording!

Great. Do you recommend getting a Quad card? And with Flexi option? Does that work out the most favourable?djsynchro wrote:There's latency inherent in doing anything PCIe is way faster and it's a newer card and a new driver, so now the latency is the same as all your other plugs,
