Me three. I want to track and produce 100% within Live, not shuffle applications.lola wrote:Me toodysanfel wrote:I wish the opposite.adventurepants_ wrote:i just wish they would concentrate on the Live stuff and ditch the arrangement enhancements. To me tracking in Reaper is a million times easier than in Live.

what the heck happened to ableton live?
i too feel that ableton has gone the wrong route with all these lil gizmoes and all, i been a live user since version 4
but as the versions moved on the program became less stable, more crashes and stuff...i would ditch all the crap and give us the right stuff, like dependable midi, it flactuates... i need stable midi for my external synths, version 4 was stable with midi from what i remember but the rest versions sucked, with all honesty, i think they need to take care of this before they even move on, otherwise it's never going to be stable kepp adding features but its all buggy, and they move on the next version, its not fair for the loyal users as far as i am concern and as much as i love this app. i just might go somewhere else. the simplicity is what made me fall in love but this now is just bullS@#t... i too agree the session view is its strongest feature and needs to be payed attention more... i dont care bout the features keep what u have but make it more rock solid, stuff like this has made a couple of loyal ableton users abandon this app, so ableton dont forget us, seems like they are more concern in bringing in more users, instead of keeping happy the loyal users,
stop being a nother daw, i just need live stable so i can create then export all my audio into nuendo and add the finishing touches... I remember telling all my friends about live and great it is, but lately even those i made jump in the wagon are jumping off, they all feal that it's not fair to pay for an new version that gots new features but yet others from the past still werent working properly, Ableton make the app more solid, and fix that midi... it seems the issue keeps getting push aside, my two cents

i dont want them to ditch arrangement view all together. im fine with how it is right now, i only use it after recording a session for some small edits and/or sample processing, thats it.
now, if youre coming to live to use its sequencer capabilities, you really need a reality check. the sequencer part of things in live is way way behind most sequencers, including opensource and freeware ones.
i say leave the arrangement view as it is, its a neccesary tool and i think we all can agree on that, but they should focus more on the live side of htings rather then trying to compete in the sequencer market with a sequencer thats way way behind its competitors. how about they fix some of the requests thats been lingering since L4 instead?
