i have bm5a's. They're not so common to the forum. They're my first pair, but i'm really impressed with their sound.

They really have changed the way I think about sound as a continuous force.

Am I the only one mixing on a reference HIFI set here???

Sonus faber Concertino Home (speakers)
B&W Sub
Sonus Faber Musica (Amp)

The amp was originally built for use in the speaker factory, my speakers were developed using this amp so they're like hand in glove.
This set plays sweet sweet music - but it's still trustworthy :D
More bass in the hihat

+1 on the krks i've got a small room so i don't really need a sub.
i did try em out with a mate's krk sub it turned into a mess so been working w/o the sub and so far they been holding out good even on the low freqs

I am using Meyer HD-1's. They've been around for quite some time, but ever since I had heard them in a big studio I needed to have them. Amazing monitors!

+1 for Dynaudio - BN5a's arent very beefy in terms of sub ,so if you have the cash - BM6s are superb, I ended up spending more in the long run by gettng BM5a's & then adding a BM9s sub a few months later.

in reality they should be top of the list - you can still have them turned down, but trying to mix without proper monitors is like a blind man trying to paint

I have NS10s which I was managing on barely for a while and I just got a sub-woofer to go with them and it was like taking out my earplugs - I always knew I needed one but it is only now that I have it that I realise just how desperately I needed it - it's like trying to paint a rainbow without red
