Live crashes with Kompakt

Grrrrr....after a week working completely off-line with my Mac OSX I had very little problems with NI's Kompakt - in Live 4.0.3.

But on my PC everything is hell right now - on 4.0.4. I loose all MIDI in after about a few seconds. It's the exact same symptoms as I outlined above (but for PC, not Mac). It completely kills my MIDI and I need to restart Live.

I have the latest version of Kompakt including the new DFD update.

In FL Studio the same problem applies. But there I can load the DXi version whch does not suffer from this problem.

Do I really need to get a VST/DX adapter or can someone please confirm that Kompakt 1.0.3 works fine with Live 4.0.4?

When I reinstall Live 4.0.3 the problem completely disappears.

I seem to be lying. The problem now occurs in all versions of Live 4 PLUS in FL Studio 4. So it is apparently NOT a problem with Live but with Kompakt. Maybe a reinstall will fix it.
