New myspace player layout
New myspace player layout
Don't about anyone else, but I'm not liking the new look to the player on myspace! The pictures for the tracks are smaller and there doesn't seem to be a download button.
Has anyone else found that their plays for the day has shot up? I logged on yesterday to find I had 281 plays! Without being too self-deprecating, I knew that no one had listened to my tracks that many times!

Yes, some weird shit is going on:
I was listening to a track on my player and everytime i pressed "play", the song was started again, ON TOP OF THE ALLREADY PLAYING TRACK
It really was some crazy sound experience listening to my Tracks like layered 5 times ith different starting times
Also the "comment" button is gone and you can´t move your tracks up or down as you could before to sort them the way you want
But i like the overall look more than before, so I hope they sort those bugs out soon.

yeah...there changes were pretty frustrating, considering its one of my things to offer a new song to download every Monday...
The new player also broke the link it once had to my website...so, that sucks, and I'll now need to wait for someone to write new HTML code to relink the two, and then wait for the info to come up in a search engine, before I can get my player back on my website....
when Myspace Tom mentioned the new player being developed, I was pretty excited, thinking that with a new look and the same feature set, they would at least offer the ability to add more songs... But it looks like we got a more confusing look, with less features, and features that don't really even work - not to mention its the same song count....
Ah well...myspace has done right by me in the past...but it won't take long for people to start looking somewhere else if the music players cease to function correctly, and listening to new music becomes too difficult...

it just seems premature for a company like myspace to install such a broad, system wide upgrade, that has so many apparent bugs at launch...
since no one pays for myspace, it didn't seem as though the users were clamoring for a new player to be delivered by a specific date...they could have waited longer to make sure the update wouldn't be so bug-laden...
i guess the sponsor of the update really wanted the new software in place...
