What are the key differences between these programs. Seems like FL is easier to use, but does that make it limited.

so audio handling is better in FL Studio. the Midi stuff in Live is some the easiest and dynamic i've seen. I do work with alot of .wav files for work and find Live clumsy in that area....maybe i'm just lazy and need to spend more time with the program

Live handles stretching (warping) of audio clips better and automation clips. FL Studio seems to hide the automation - but then V5 may change all that.
Live seems to have a more intuitive VSTi/instrument handling but FL Studio comes with oodles of samples!

whoops, I meant that audio handling is better in ableton live than in flstudio. I think that many will agree that the midi in live is just not altogether there yet and is somewhat below that in a lot of other apps including flstudio. Still, without starting another host debate, I haven't felt the need to go back to or rewire fl since starting with live.
