I was born and bred in the UK, lived there for 30 years.

Fish and chips, bacon butties, black pudding, pork pies, ambrosia creamed rice pudding, greasy spoon cafes, curry (loaded with artificial colours and packed with calories), bread and dripping, beer (full of calories) and you think there aren't any fast food outlets there? There were plenty even before McDonalds, KFC and Burger King took over. Wimpy anyone ? (every big shopping mall and major high street had one)

There are plenty of overweight Brits and Europeans too.
