if its not for music it's quite alright small and light enough for easy transport.
i can run 9 instances of plugs before it starts getting wonky

I have a powerbook G4 1.5GHz. I would not advise investing in such weak technology.

still rocking the 12"

does alright for most jobs. djing is no problem.

after 3 years mine is finally starting the downward spiral.. battery dying real quick, dvd drive failing.

whenever i get the cash together ill probably pick up a macbook / pro. . there's talk about a new machine coming out in a couple weeks.. maybe hold out until then unless you really NEED it now.

Why would you want a second laptop when you already have one that works fine for all of that?

Having two machines will make you having files on one computer that you need on the other one etc.

But then again if someone offers you an old powerbook for cheap then why not take it and make it a groovebox and internetsurfstation .... install an old version of live and reason on it and you can do all the stuff that was state of the art in 2004.

S'good enough for Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead...

He uses it for Max/MSP patches on his guitar.

I have a 12" powerbook and i thought it was great till my friend brought his macbook round and the latency was much better and it could handle more, then i got one, so thats the music computer ONLY and the powerbook is my home computer.. Still be okay for some things though, but software is outrunning it now - i wanted to install aperture on my powerbook but my graphic card wasn't supported!!
Macbook 1.83ghz. Ableton Live 8 :-). Guitars and keys and retro sh*t.
