It's not like I made it hard for anyone to figure once the challenge experiment turned out to be a failure. tstsCrash wrote:Believe me, you'd laugh out loud!nebulae wrote:wow, how clever, someone has figured out how to use two browsers to create two alter-egos and have a pretend bitchfest...

I'm currently active on the following other forums: SourceForge, Gearslutz, RME and Cakewalk. The only forum that throws around heavily abusive insults and a general aggressive attitude (towards me and other users) in any of the threads I'm reading/writing is ABLETON FORUM. Which doesn't mean that it doesn't exists elsewhere, but seemingly it's less PRONOUNCED.
I didn't miss that crap either, but it was fun for a week. (some may have noticed that I went out of roleplaying character once the irony proved to be senseless)

Hey Tumor - did you notice the following categories here @ ableton ?:
link your music
local
tips & tricks
bugs & problems
feature wishlist
I'm sure your basing your opinions on what you find in those categories, right ?
You wouldn't be doing something fucking retarded like making your comparisons with the general section alone...would you ?

Here's a non-political response...Live is all about the doing what you want to do without restraint...but the tools are in place to help you achieve your goals. Why not have the same philosophy for the forum?...instead of restraints and limitations, provide the tools for more civility. Let people have the ability to block people they find offensive, or not see any images at all (both easily implemented in current forums). And have a ratings system on helpful posts and helpful posters. Those tools will go a lot farther, and will remove any need for any forum moderation or policing. And Timur can still have sex with b0unce and those of us who want to see the train wreck can have front row seats.Robert Henke wrote:LOL. Well, i did not say that I would delete all and everything, but i would certainly delete more stuff. But hey, we ( read: Ableton ) are willing to learn from our customers. It is not that we are not talking about forum politics and how to proceed here, it is just that we have different opinions and need to come to a conclusion regarding future strategies here! ( Did this sound like politician speak ??! )nebulae wrote:^ dude, you just pulled a Palin...stick to the party line and quit goin' off script! Geez, you can't count on anyone anymore!
Cheers, Robert

I 100% for having built in ignore and image block in the forum.
I'd hardly ever use the ignore feature but i i'd use the image block often. I do think that the ignore feature would really help certain peiople deal with certain other people...
I mostly browse this forum at work so i'm stuck with internet exploder and am not going to be running scripts.
