Live won't kill it's self..on exit (RANT)

Live stops working crashes but the program is still running in task manager.. a total reboot is required..
I fixed it by using asio for all instead of my native sound drivers.

are you on windows? just go into processes(ctl+alt+delete) and go to prcesses tab and terminate it.
are you on mac? force application to terminate...
had that happen a few time on windows machine and did that, never had to reboot. never on the mac tho.

How does it not work? I mean the process still shows in the current running processes or it just freezes up your comp?abort wrote:Noop!? ...Tried that so many times! Bcf200(USB) TF (USB) and MIDI Keyboard ...not really to "corollary" only one Remote selected. If its fighting with each other ...IF/then I don't know.Aequitas123 wrote:I had the same thing happen a while ago.
Make sure you're not running anything in corollary with Live that keeps running after you shut down Live or it crashes.
Also, make sure you're not running a Pirated copy of Live.
I have the Box the manual and the registration ..No pirated software in my box.

Your the best!!! It is the Trigger Finger, as soon as I disconnected it Live Quit !Amaury wrote:Hi,
On windows, it happens that a driver prevents the Live process to be killed. Turn OFF or disconnect your MIDI controller/sound card, and the Live process should vanish.
Kind regards,

Good EYE Good EYE. So what do you think the problem is with the TF thats causing the problem here? ...checking for new drivers now!
I don't think it's related to the Trigger Finger, because it happens also with other devices. I believe it's a Windows problem, but we're looking at it on our side. Without much success so far.abort wrote:Your the best!!! It is the Trigger Finger, as soon as I disconnected it Live Quit !Amaury wrote:Hi,

ZOMG! yes. on either my pc or laptop, if i've been running Live for a few hours, it won't close normally; it will crash.
That is to say, when I save and close, Live will only die after spamming End Task several times. It's like I have to choke it to death.
This has happened consistently on XP SP2; I don't remember if it happened on my Win2K, i want to say yes.
So fix this Ableton.
