Damn, it's proving to be a bit more challenging than I thought.
Good job I have a large supply of Steely Reslove![]()
I also never thought I'd be puffing away on a child's bubble-blowing pipe with such fervent desire at this stage of my life.
Funny enough, I'm also on day six, or am now... Where you at?~?~?
Anyhow, I'm hyper as a fucking rabbit.
I want to fuck, fight and frolic...
Time is a mother fucker, but it doesn't exist.
Gotta shit and...
Man...
I only stopped cause I think I was getting emphysema or something...
I was having massive problems breathing...
Anyhow...
I'm not edgy, but I'm running at a thousand miles an hour.
Think fast, type fast, talk fast...
Wonder why I ever started, but then again, I do love her so...
My beautiful Maria De La Juana...
She's so hot when I get her lit...
She even gets nice and wet for me...
Mm...
....
Ok...
Yeah, I'm just out of my mind now.
So wheres Evernaut?
Did he ever start again?
How's it going, friend?
nicotine gum. and dose a necessary. I've been on it 2+yrs
you'll get addicted to the gum but at least its a harmless alternative
buy the cheap stuff, non-coated. it contains less additives and artificial sugar
to be honest i enjoy the small stimulant high i get from nicotine. it helps me focus. the addiction is that it actually helps you function. much like coffee does for others

I quit for six months and then started up again, for about six months now. As winter approaches I am going to stop again, as it'll be too cold to bother to go outside for a smoke. But dangit, in the summer when I'm grillin' and chillin' a smoke just compliments the affair so nicely...
Fortunately I do know the sure-fire, guaranteed method for quitting smoking: Don't buy em', don't smoke em'.

The first year is the hardest. I've now gone 15 years without tobacco. For the first 5 years I used to say that if the doctor gave me 18 months to live I would take it up again, but now I wouldn't. In fact the idea disgusts me.
Just remember that each day you go makes the next day easier.
And don't let your mind play tricks on you. "Just this one" can hurt you!.
When you think "I'm gasping for a smoke" ask yourself exactly what you mean my this. Are you in pain? or is it just a vague, undefinable kind of feeling that a person of your calibre can easily ignore?
Chewing gum can help.
And miming the act of smoking.

I've lied on any health insurance type form that asks about smoking... i join one of these things that tracks for me my progress in not smoking for the same reason I won't confess to being a smoker. Eventually, I think it might deny me some kind of coverage. Honestly, I haven't even clicked the link... Im just scared to.
I work in the health insurance game and it's not even funny how many bottles of KY I'm having to send in the mail to people who get fucked hard by the business.
Anyhow, I might go see Nick Warren on Saturday night here... I think I might break the streak then...
Shit...

If you can imagine it, it can happen...

quit again before you get to far into it!evernaut wrote:I stopped for about 4 months there...and even during a very turbulent time personally, it wasn't so bad.
I do now smoke again, but less...
And, when I next decide to cease, I know that it's not nearly as hard for me to stop using nicotine as I had previously thought.
All useful lessons.
i stopped for 6 months, picked it up agian for about 1 1/2 years, then quit for good.
10 years now..
free from smoking is so nice.. it takes about 3 years before all temptation leaves.
after 4 months you can ride on that again, it wont be so hard.

I smoked for 10 years and finally got to the point that I was feeling ill all the time and didn't know why. The book (was mentioned above) "Allen Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking" totally works. For those looking to quit, consider reading the book, it's worked for lots of people. The best part is you're given full permission to smoke your brains out while reading the book. It's the weirdest thing, by the time you finish the book you don't really want to smoke anymore. On top of that, once you do quit, it's not nearly as bad as if you hadn't read the book and quit cold turkey
It's amazing how much more time one has when you aren't running outside every hour to smoke!
