another recent one:

http://www.subterror.com/azurerecords/m ... yRemix).rm
real audio once again, sorry.
its a remix of DJ Shiva, will be on Philly's Internal Error Recordings.
all done in Live 4, drums are impulse.

down and dirty techno, with an emphasis on dirty... the only sound from the original i used was the synth, and that got mangled a bit. The vocal clip in the break is a Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) monologue. and says:
"i was addicted, yes i am a godaholic. and my checks to the hope dope dealers got bigger and bigger and bigger. and every day i'd wake up and my hands would shake and my teeth would clatter until the mailman would show up and bring me my fix. And i could rip open the envelope and tie a rubber hose around my common sense and SHOOT UP WITH GOD!!!"

Nice one Adam.
Do you do your own mastering? or do you try to get the mix 'close enough'.
I'm glad not every producer is making this shranz shit and that some try to keep techno, techno :)

cheers

yea i do my own mastering, but in realtime. not post. think of it more like realtime master dynamics processing, rather than traditional "mastering" hehehe. some Waves stuff and some TC stuff in the master channel, then recorded with Tape It.

shranz has its place, but i am way too much of a synth nerd to get away with it.

Just out if interest, is Tape It a plug in or a 'strap-on' (as it were...)?

really digging this first track - what is it? It sounds exactly like the kind of stuff I'm trying to start writing - bluesy and raw with lyrics and spun out production

Shouldnt be a special forum of just songs made with Live? It would be great and very illustrative...
