It would be nice to see a newer versions of live that could handle better exit or kill signals. Meaning when live is exited either by user or by error the program could handle such error or exit with more (if,then)ability.
Kill all connections /./././././././././././././exit!
This improvement would be piratical in some bug issues, and increase flexibility in the program.

R you using a macintosh? You know Ableton can be very temperamental on mac, if you are not running all your mac maintenance properly.
If you are using mac, try fixing permissions, and checking to see if your volume needs to be repaired.
If you are using windows, write tech support. If you are using mac, and my suggestion does not help...
