I'm forever wanting new shit...then i get red letters through the door demanding i pay this and that....

Man...this thread depresses me!
Haha me too. I used to buy loads of gear when i lived at home with the folks.. (luckily i still have a lot of my earlier purchases..) but then i moved in with my girlfriend, got married and bought a house and now i cant afford to get anything..

It doesn't help have major GAS. (Gear Acquisition syndrome) haha.

not 100% sure if it makes a difference, but I'd think every little bit of isolation counts for something. Right now the combination of the stands and the MoPads is working very well... kind of makes the monitors feel like they're floating on air.

To be honest, this is just a case of me already having the MoPads before I bought the stands, and then thinking when I bought them, "well... might as well keep using the Pads. Guess it won't hurt" :P

That looks like a difficult setup to play with, 6:00.

Ha ha ha! Yeah, I see what you mean!

The VMX is a new purchase and is only intended for use live.

The PadKontrol I only use when writing/assembling tracks, and I usually take the laptop and PK somewhere else in the house when I am putting stuff together.

Then I stand up and use the BCR2000 to jam and arrange stuff, deliberately keeping the laptop out of view.

So, I don't need access to all the gear all at once - and I just happened to have this shelving spare. It works quite well for me.

Does that make sense?

Yes, it makes sense. But I am a bit disapointed : I thought your six months old little brother was the drummer of your band !
