Is it possible to change the metronome tone?

I find it to be louder than anything I'm playing and really distracting when recording live.. It would be nice if it could produce more of a simple "click" sound with less volume.

btw... you can adjust the volume via the 'phones/cue' knob...
or route the audio to a seperate audio ch...

and if you want to change the actual sample...
here's a workaround...

put your altenrnate wav files in (windows)
%your isntallation directory%\Live 7.0.10\Resources\Misc\Metronome\Samples

delete/move/rename the current files...

rename the new files to... Metronome.wav & MetronomeUp.wav...

and that about does it...

Or you can put your instrument of choice in the
metronome folder, replacing the samples and
Metronome.adg.

That folder under ...\Resources\Misc\Metronome
is an Ableton Project folder.

However, if you re-install Live, it will probably
change all that and you'll need to re-do it again.
