I like this sort of track where it never really peaks but plods along nicely.

Thats the intention, I'm not into huge build ups, they can often leave you dissapointed, the same with too many breaks. When i dance i want to carry on, not get interupted by too much standing around waitin for the beat to start again.

Does anyone know of a good volume booster by the way?

Some of my midi instruments are far to quiet even with the instrument and track volume wacked right up !

Even adding a bit of punch to it doesnt seem to work well.
