how do I completely delete everything in an arrangement?

Post by lunarhostility » Sun Oct 05, 2008 9:14 pm

I can't believe I'm having this problem as I've been DJing in Live for quite some time and have never had this issue come up. I'm currently trying to record a set I'll be playing at an upcoming show to see how long it is but when I did my first run recorded run through a clip launched a bar too early and now even when I delete everything in the arrangement it keeps launching at that point. How do I get to the point where the "back to arrangement" button isn't highlighted because everything is completely blank and thus hopefully won't show up in session?

Select all, delete, back to session, stop clips(master)?

Stupid question alert: do you just mean go back to session or is there a back to session button like back to arrangement that I've just never been aware of?

No, just go back to Session view.

I use Select ALL (comm + A), and choose Delete Time. That way, any automation data is also deleted and the start marker is back at 1.1.1.

Indeed, no back to session button (unless Tab counts?)

Word thanks a lot for the tips guys - so annoying when you're actually proficient in the program and can't figure out how to do something this basic.
