AUDIO DROPOUT PROBLEM - FIXED!!

Post by vince watson » Thu Nov 04, 2004 6:50 pm

to al concerned...please refer to my previous post yesterday regardingthis damn 404 dropout problem, which is for the most part relative to powerbooks on panther, and a few pcs.

i have now ran my liveset for 14 hours...with as much tracks as i awill ever use at any one time...

i can confirm that after the rebooting and installations of all possible drivers and software etc listed on my previous post, I AM NOW FREE OF BUGS AND GLITCHES.

As before, i cannot guarentee anyone else will get help from what i did....but at least it gives you all hope that you COULD solve it before Ableton do another update.

Good luck guys...you may need it!

PS
regardless of what you may or may not have heard previously on this board about RAM, it is without doubt that you need MINIMUM 2gb to run this 4.0.4 without any problems at all......especially on the Mac.

I know this might sound obvisous, but Mac users also need to make sure that they've got Firevault switched off. I'd forgotten I'd had this enabled on an old directory when searching through some old samples, and there is a difference in performance, not to mention weird moments..
