best way to rename an .als file

Post by infiniteB » Sat Oct 11, 2008 8:33 pm

If I want to rename an .als file....

can I do this, and there will be no missing file correlations to the old name?

Does Ableton each time I load an .als simply search the file location for WHATEVER file names are there, or does it RECOGNIZE it?

Thanks..

if you don't change the name of the project or any of the referenced files, you should be OK

If you change the names of the wav files in the ableton browser, it will change the als name too (saves half the work),

also if you have the set open, change the file name in the ableton browser, then save your work, you won't have any annoying missing sample messages.
