Take 1 minute to listen to my tracks I need advice!

Post by Kozak » Mon Oct 13, 2008 2:25 pm

Hey guys this is the first time I've uploaded anything to ableton so I want some constructive criticism. Tracks are techno to minimal.

Detroit
Solomn
Train

I would like some comments about sound in general like: " that sound doesn't fit" , " that one is standing out in the mix", etc.

Thanks for listening

Can't listen at work today, so I have downloaded them and I'll have a listen later on.

BTW - the site you uploaded to makes it very hard to download - had to grab the mp3/wav's URLs from the page source code and DL them that way.

or maybe that was your intention (no DLs) - if so, you need to rethink!

I'll drop back this evening with some feedback for you

hmmm, not really my cuppa tea, but here goes...

The 3rd one (train/hardone) I like the most, but the reverb drops out 1/2 way thru and I missed it. Strange glitch when the kick drum drops in near the end as well - sounds a bit odd. Good wonky breakdown though.

Detroit, I couldn't really fault for the genre - well produced and captures the detroit/UR kinda vibe.

solomn is very quiet and doesn't do a lot for me. not enough there IMO.
