Problem with my Zero 8

Post by Gianluca » Fri Oct 17, 2008 1:54 pm

Hi everyone

A problem came up..With the ZERO8 you have a controller bank, above the touch pad, right? You have 8 knobs/rotary's which you assign to what you want, and you have 4 different controller bank's too (A-B-C-D)
Now suddenly, Ableton responds to these knobs on controller bank A..So if a turn a rotary, or press a knob, certain parameters change, even when they aren't mapped! I go to this MIDI map mode and when I look on the left, no MIDI mappings are assigned.
Even when I go to that certain parameter, there is no possibilty to press "Delete mapping" as there is no mapping! And when I go back to the normal mode and press the button or rotary again, the parameter keeps changing?!

I hope this makes sense 'cause I'm desperate to find a solution for this, nothing seems to work.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

thanks for any possible help.

you can try to assign a different midi channel (ie 16 insread of 1) using the editor, live must be configured to respond to midi channel 1 cc

Oh, and one last question! Is there a way to map "Toggle Track/Clip view" to a MIDI button?
