@Abort:
"but my set has taken a beating" ... could you please explain this to my frenchy misunderstanding? does it mean that your set has suffered from it?
"if you take them apart you will be amazed how damn small the drivers are in um"
the same for this sentence... "If I take -the thick bass - apart?" does it mean the bass is so loud that one shall ignore it and focus on the other frequencies? ???
'how damn the drivers are in um' ....
sorry I really don't understand, I'm not very smart this morning !!!
thanks anyway for your post
best regards
EDIT

"what what in the"........
abort you definitely have some problems with your computer keyboard or with your finger(s)??? lol
ANyway thanks for your advices, I just received my DT770 PRO 250ohm.
I ordered them after 2 weeks using my friend's ones and becoming DT770-ADDICT !!!!!
the bass presence is really good for me because I compose fat basses, and I would overload my tracks with subs if I had a dryier headphones on the ears. With the 770 pro, I can have both worlds: precision monitoring for composing and mixing tracks, AND recreative comfy quality headphones for listening to music (and it sounds good with all my discs, from rock to electronica, via the extreme metal field, to electro/breakbeat/technno music...)
for monitoring my mixdown process it s good enough and really precise, but I still have to check the mix on different speakers to find THE good mixdown. My monitoring speakers (alesis active m1mk2) sound totally crap in comparison, that's why I speak of ADDICTION
