Good Rerverb Plugin for Live on a MAC

Arts acoustic is a fantastic reverb, as far as reverbs go....

but I also think, that reverb is such a sad sounding effect, that it needs tons of eq to work. I'm always throwing plugs after verb, just to get it to sound a little better.

I like,

Ambience, and Freeverb. I also use Nomad factories liquid verb, which is horrible sounding!!

Right now, I'm doing a demo of wave arts master verb, which is

A) lighter on cpu than the Arts Acoustic, and a little smoother as well. AA verb, might be a little over-rated....

lots of plugs are.


I didn't get hooked, and have no plans to buy A.A. Reverb, I think I might have removed the demo from my machine.

I'm seriously considering a wave arts purchase.

Check out quick quacks, fusion field. I haven't done that one yet...

Least to say.... I think reverb is a shit sound. ANd although I use it a lot, you need to eq the shit out of it, to get it to sound nice.

Arts Acoustic Reverb... beautiful sound, quite versatile, stands out to me... the controls are all meaningful and when you learn to use them, it really shines for a wide variety of material. I liked it right from the start, but after I had owned it for some months, I liked it even better because I learned to use it in circumstances that it did not seem to fit at first.

It also has no invasive copy protection, and you can install it on multiple computers as long as you are the one using them.

I use PSP Easyverb. It's affordable (£75 / $149), simple to use, and sounds great. I also find the CPU overhead relatively low.

Altiverb is the best. by far. it's really too good. and you might wanna have a dedicated computer just to run that alone. massive CPU hog, but like i said, it is the best.

On PPC there is also Ambience.

Ambience is UB now (though no graphical interface, at least in the version I have). Another one to check out is stillwell verbiage.

Quoted for truth. I've used many of the reverbs mentioned in this thread and so far nothing offers the same amount of control, sound quality, and performance all in one package like Redline Reverb. Runners up would be IK Classic Studio Reverbs and ArtsAcoustic.

I tend to avoid IR reverbs as I hate having to collect IR's, they eat a shit ton of cpu, and are completely rigid.
