Echo Indigo DJ setup for Ableton Help!

Post by gl.tch » Wed Oct 22, 2008 12:18 am

I'm totally stumped on this.

I've installed an Echo Indigo Dj card for use w/ Ableton and cannot get any volume out of the 1/2 stereo channel.

I've installed the newest driver from the website. and followed the http://www.vinkalmann.com/Echo%20Indigo ... torial.pdfVinkalmann guide to set up Ableton to output to 2 separate channels on my mixer.

I've swapped cables and channels to no avail. Channel 1/2 from my Echo Indigo does not send a signal.

I've also checked the Windows Volume Control for the Echo and all levels are up, nothing muted

Here's a screenshot of my settings:

Have I overlooked something or is this channel dead?

a picture of session view wont help much!

Post a pic of your audio preferences page.

Have you selected the ASIO driver for the indigo card in Live?

yes I've chosen ASIO and Echo Indigo from the drop down and selected Stereo 1/2 and Stereo 3/4 in the output section

basically, I followed the vinkalman guide. I posted the session view to show how it was routed

You've almost certainly done this but sometimes I spend ages looking at complicated stuff and I've forgotten one simple step. I notice in your session screenshot I notice that you don't have the cue selected for either of your tracks. If you select cue in one track do you get an output?

there's no signal coming to the mixer from Audio 1 (Ch1/2) at all.

i get a signal from Audio 2 (Ch3/4)

I've also tried all 4 of my mixer line channels

i use the Echo Indigo DJ weekly on my old TiBook for a DJing in betwen FOH mixing gig...it's more than likely the problem isn't in Abes at all !!

i would suggest going into the ECHO Panel and checking that you have the right routing in there.

The way you have to depress the buttons in the Echo Panel view can be very confusing at first.

tool around in there for a while and get back to me if you are stil having problems.

They are a great Card for anyone that still has a PCMCIA slot in their set-up !

24bit 96kHz !!!
