Not sure about the UK but for a while there was a bit of a trend in chip shops here for battered confectionery - battered Mars bars etc... there was a (now sadly defunct) chipper called the Seashell that did the most amazing battered Curly Wurlys... *sigh* (the same establishment tempted me back to carnivorism)

every time i have had chocolate from england i have spit it back out..
its horrible.. same with swedish candy... total crap!

Actually its mainly because in the UK it should be renamed vegolate, due to the distinct lack of cocoa in the products. S'all vegetable fats nowadays and milk.

i was going to say that it all lacks cocoa, U.S chocolate has a more robust taste to me, hershey is they best over here..
btw the only thing made by cadburry (if thats how you spell it) over here is the nasty cadburry creme eggs. blaghh!!! you can really taste that watered down chocolate in it.
its sorta like plastic.

When I was a kid I used to think they were massive then wondered why they'd got smaller...

then i realised...I've got bigger. LOL

Took me a while to figure that out.

All that fondant icing inside...makes my teeth hurt just thinking about it.

i'll say it again - twix's are great, especially chilled. i remember when i was travelling round the states and they had peanut butter flavour twix. genius.

creme eggs - i once ate seven in one lunchtime from the tuck shop at school :D
