beatmaster wrote:there are THOUSANDS OF FORUMS LIKE THAT IN THE INTERNET so the POLIT and OT WANKERS just should KEEP OUT OF THIS ONE AND GO THERE TO LOAD OFF THEIR CRAP !!!

this board definetely needs a moderator to keep this forum audio related

Repeat: To the non-brainers: THIS IS AN AUDIO FORUM !!!!!!
If you intend to teach others how to behave on this forum, first learn that there is no need to SHOUT. This is minimum courtesy.

i think it's simple enough not to go go posts you don't want to, most are courteous enough to post as OT....
it's quite funny to me that people consider caps shouting, i'm sorry,
shouting is part of speech, not writing...although it does express a feeling...
my vote is NO (just don't go to those posts)....

the thing which annoyed me is how everyone suddenly divided against each other. people who have many things in common, mainly music suddenly became "enemies" because of politics. some people got very fired up and for what? create more hate, more bad vibes...

i'm no hippy or anything (;)), but there are probably better ways to do something about the politics of your country than whining on a music/audio related message board.

and if you want to tie in your political thoughts with music, just write some anti/pro-something tracks and release them. more people will hear it that way. write some pop music, wide audience.

:?

I see what you're saying - but what you're seeing is the division that followed the election - there were repurcussions in all areas of life, this is an international forum and alot of people had opinions on the election of the next godhead. In a way it signalled the last death of anyone hoping there were any moral values in politics so it was a pretty bloody significant event - only time will tell how significant, but my intuition on it isnt good.

It's dying down a bit now, but no offense if you want to avoid such things I suggest you unplug your modem and/or go and hide in a cave somewhere, not participate in the completely cerebral world of internet forum community bollocks talking - it kind of goes with the territory that if people are sitting in front of a computer having their say, they're gonna say alot of stuff.

You are an ennemy

Post by Benshik » Tue Nov 09, 2004 8:07 am

- YES, QUICK! PUT THESE POSTS ELSEWHERE.

- NO! I like coming to a music forum to wade through unrelated political topics.

Nice poll...

Komplex,
Why only the “yes” is written in capital letters?
Why do you so clearly implie that the people voting no are silly fucks coming to a MUSIC forum to read UNRELATED, irrelevant, unappropriate POLITICAL topics?

What a nice, objective choice do we have here!
I voted NO! and I will contest the results of this poll due to the manipulative way the questions have been formulated!!!!!
Komplex, shame on you!!! You try to brainwash us! You are an enemy of democracy! I will therefore write a letter to George W Bush so he can send his armies to annihilate you, evil ennemy of freedom!!!!

haha, I will eat my words and rewrite the poll if it lets me :)

(I still won't bite with the politics, ITS EVIL. EEEVIL!)

by the way, the "NO" is in capitals too. If I made that whole sentence in capitals it would have taken up too much room

I think there should be a forum called - the cafe, where we can just hang out and be annoying in whatever way we feel like!

I have sinned and posted into political threads, but most likely because it was current, therefore at the top of my mind.
If I had an urge to converse about religion or travel ... that would also be off topic and annoying to some, but others might enjoy it.

So I would say an [OT] forum is a good proposition.

But, politics is like, so last week.

:P

yep, politics are purely a question of fashion, a question of glamour, a question of "cool". I read in this month's wallpaper mag that in 2005 we are goin to stop hearing about it at all... latency issues, midi controllers, mac vs pc wars will reign supreme. With these hyper glamourous topics, I am sure even girls will start coming on this forum

sadly I doubt that - (although there are one or 2) on the whole most women have better things to do than talk about latency and plug-in delay compensation

I'm as pissed off as anyone around here, but until the next election, when those of us smart enough to see his evil can start to clean up this mess, I don't need to hear about it anymore. I don't come on these forums to weed through rants about that twit, I come here to read about Live, not death...
15" PB 2.5 Ghz, 4 Gig RAM, 750 GB HD, Live 9 still no cue points or program change messages?!?. Doesn't do shit.

I'm with Bencodec... leave the forum as it is. These are general topics.

I like to think of Live users as a community... I'm more curious about what an Ableton user thinks about a current event than what Joe-Schmoe on generic.com thinks.

When I open up my Live 4 software I always feel like I don't know what is around the next corner, anything can happen. I don't want to come to this forum and find everything fractioned off into predictable little containers.

And the last thing in the world I want to see is a forum called The Cafe.

General topics are general topics, deal with it crybabies  :D

Let the Abletons focus on creating more amazing software and not fuss over their already well designed website.

Benshik is awesome
