yes these are in the audio unit folder, along with all my , all I have in my VST is my ck plugins...perhaps this is because i have the dowloaded versions as opposed to the physical versions?the0verclock wrote:are you using only the audio unit versions?
the other options are only available as VST, i believe. In general I have better experience with the VST versions of NI plugs in Live.

I do have the installer, I'll give that a try, thanks!the0verclock wrote:you still have the downloaded installers? you can specify which version to install (Stand-alone, AU, VST, RTAS, or all). you can also download the demo from the NI site and then authorize it to full version using your serial number.
I am using reaktor and live since yerars now and had no problem ...
But i have a question:
for my live set I have 4 Audio channels/tracks and a suppa duppa reaktor fx unit, where I can mash up, record, etc.
Sometimes I want to route a single audio channel, sometimes two, sometimes all audio channels into that Reaktor fx chanel/unit.
Is there an other - more elegant and live compatible - way to choose which audio channel should be routed into fx than choosing via the mouse (master out/fx rack) ?
This is even not possible to do via midi or a single key, it's just possible with the mouse, which i want to avoid in a live set.
Can Ableton Live handle several Reaktor inputs ?
Then I could build some routing buttons in reaktor.

I use Reaktor a fair amount when writing; mostly library ensembles (Carbon 2 especially...and some of the vintage emulations). The beatboxes, like SineBeats and Aerobic, are used a fair bit, too - the glitchy sound is great for what I do.
I've made a very basic key-press converter for use with my USB game pad (when used in conjunction with the Max/MSP program 'MultiControl') - it means that I can use the buttons as switches instead of just momentary buttons.
Don't use too much Reaktor processing for live performance; I've never seen the need. BeatLookup is a fantastic tool, but the buffering (and clearing the buffer) isn't something that works for me.

crashing
I use Reaktor for fx in Live, and it's basically been working fine since the installation, until a couple of weeks ago when Reaktor suddenly started crashing Live every time I used it. Like, if I open a file where Reaktor is active as a plugin, I need to restart the program three times before it actually works, but then it seems like Live gets accustomed to it, and I can use Reaktor in the same way I've used to... anyone else had similar problems, or can tell how to avoid this?
I wonder if anybody knows this but here I go;
for the groovebox ensembles how do you make them start and stop by playing a midi note? Currently they respond to nothing and just keep on playing when I stop the clip. They only stop when I stop the whole song...
I would appreciate some help

that was cool. I'd like to see you playing with some other musicinas - parts of that clip had me thinking all this electronic trickery can edge a bit into "I must control it all myself" and away from that live thing you get with musicians in a room together. All seemed intuitive enough to play though, which isn't always easy.

I will keep this thread going all night. I stumbled upon reaktor a year or two ago and kind of pushed it off to the side. Lately I have been getting into custom dj setups in Live and kind of rediscovered it. Here is my setup using the Surround Reaktor. Song 1 into input 1/2 (track in), song 2 into 3/4, and two drum beats into 5/6. each output is sent to a individual live channel for mixing or further effects.
Now how can I use the three beatlookups on three separate octaves? IS there something I can modify in the KeyControl to transpose the incoming midi notes?
I have provided screenshots of the routing setup, im stuck on the midi. Also, can I quantize the input of my midi? I want this specifically for the stutter and gate effects. cant seem to figure it out.

I started to figure it out a little bit, but I am missing some
If you click into KeyControl, and change the "SEC GATE" notes and transpose them up or down (ex Buzz A2->A3) it works fine, you can control multiple beatlookups across octaves.
The problem is, I only was able to change rev, stutter, random, buzz, and tempo. I only see 5 SEC GATE components in the KeyControl. Does anyone else know what else to change? or some other way to do this?

I normally have conversations with myself on MB's
I figured it out! Except since BeatLookup has 13 functions (Randomizer is on the next octave), something had to go missing. Gate
. I may be able to swap that with one of the repeaters. Here is the file if anyone wants to experiment. Use three inputs and control it across three octaves.

I am using Reaktor with Live. And now I've got a funny question. I'm using Reaktor as an instrument on a midi track, route it ou into some outboard effects, and then take it back onto an audio track. And on this audio track, I'm using Reaktor again as an effect (filters etc.)
Now, is it possible for the Reaktor-instance on the audio track to receive midi notes to trigger a simple filter envelope? I've tried to figure this one out, but I'm quite lost.
Thanks
Matt
