Ram
Ram
Hello everybody. I was just wondering if any of you had any knowledge regarding ram. Is ddr or rdram better? Has anybody had any problems running rdram (rambus)? Also I have a coupon for www.mtlc.net $10 off if anyone wants it. I won't be using it and can't let it go to waste!
Motherboards only support one or the other - the decision is pretty much one by chipset. As both have fairly similar prices and overall performance (DDR has faster access while RDRAM has higher throughput), I would not base my choice on the memory architecture. RDRAM tends to go with Intel boards and CPUs, which are usually better tested vs. common sound cards, but OTOH DDR based setups have the best price/performance ratio right now...
