you played tennis? I love it!
From Tennis to Techno...could be the name of your next EP..?

this article is great..it answers many questions...
I am not being specific here since computer technology changes so rapidly. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when purchasing a computer to record music:
Buy a computer with a large disk.
RAM is more important than CPU for most processing.
Make sure the software you like is supported by the hardware you buy (especially with regards to soundcards).
Buy a quality sound card if you can afford it.

I make music because it feels good.
I make music because it feels like I'm on some sort of mission to try to uncover something that isn't there yet but should be there.

yea but my physical condition dropped alot after i dropped tennis.
my asthma got worse, gained weight, even had a near deadly asthma attack when i was 19. So there's goods and bads. I'm thinking about taking tennis back up next summer, did the disc golf thing this summer and i got bored with it pretty fast. nowhere near as serious about it as i was 10 years ago though, i like beer too much now. =D

it's the curse of the trade - the most vicious paradox of life that the schweet amber nectar is the no 1 one fat bloke recipe.
*sigh* I was once young and handsome, but the evil Beer monster found me like Barney Gumble the day before his SATs
and dont even get me started on the whole munchie thing...

try martial arts, its way more fun and useful than tennis. especially since you travel overseas, you have to make sure nobody pinches your gear

I think you should take up tennis again. If its a sport you enjoy and can play then go for it. Exercise is a really underestimated drug. It produces the same chemicals in the body which are released when you take heroin. Thats why you feel so good when you do exercise. Havent you noticed that? After exercise you feel a lot more positive about things and feel and look more healthy. You feel all warm inside. But its soo difficult getting out the chair and doing some exercise. I used to do a lot of hill walking here in Scotland, but the weather is so wet its more like bog walking. If the weather was better here I'd be out all the time. I guess I need to find an indoor sport which I really enjoy and isnt a chore to do. Swimming is a potential option. I joined the gym for a while but i feel like a bit of an idiot on those machines, kinda like being on a treadmill.

my friend does martial arts and he can stretch his body into all kinds of interesting positions. I also wouldnt like to be on the receiving end of one of his back fists.

Shape up man! get yourself on a treadmill! Your wife and kid need you in top physical condition for the days ahead!

Can't help it -- asthma. I'm a living, breathing reed instrument.
But that's the involuntary. In the voluntary realm, I make music (bad music but that's life) because if I don't it gets stuck in my head and won't go away. :-)
For me, it's also a kind of expensive, time-consuming way to fidget.

Keeps me warm when nothing else does.
Plus it's a good way to remind that I'm shite. I'm fucking owning this university course and we wouldn't want that to go to my head, would we?
