Hi all! Just upgraded to Live 7 from 4.1.4 so I have a question about this Live Pack Format. I understand that to install a live pack all you need do is drag it into Live's main window and it essentially installs itself. What I am wondering is once you have it installed, how do you know where to go in the browser to access it? This is totally different than accessing any standard wav file loops you have on your hard drive right? Also, once you do find the live pack, how do you know what it is you are looking at (audio loops, simpler presets, ect.) in the browser? I am just a bit confused as to the concept of finding a pack and its contents once I have it installed.
For example, I just downloaded and installed "solid sounds" free live pack from the Ableton home page but when I go into the browser, there is nothing called "solid sounds" as a file name or anything like that. am I just missing something obvious here? I have read the manual and the concept is very sound and all but I am lost once i get into the browser other than finding and using my old audio loops and such. Thanks in advance!
Basic Live Pack Question
Re: Basic Live Pack Question
From my experience, each live pack is different. Solid Sounds is located under Instrument Racks and under Loopmasters.Grijak wrote:Hi all! I keep wishing that they'd add one last pop-up window at the end of the install showing how it was installed. I think the only problem of that is just that some Live Packs install content in many different categories which I would assume is complicated... but not even close to my area of expertise, just guessing here.Grijak wrote:thanks for that, I am starting to get it I think..........
@Cyberstar... thanks for the screenshot. I had forgot about the loop content.
