If you are even from the US (if you are not you don't really qualify as an expert on US economy...I don't claim to be, but you seem to) please point out in anything that I have said to be false from the quotes I have posted. What is your education level in economics, as I have been challenged. Do you believe raising taxes in a reccession is a smart thing? We are one pubic hair from a reccession if not already in one. Data shows yes. Personal income rose, consumer spending dropped. Nothing stimulating the economy. No spending !!! If Missouri doesn't matter, why is each candidate repeatedly showing up here? in the past 2 months. Please enlighten me on you education that qualifies you as an expert, other than following what the liberal dems are feeding you. You are just following the "I am voting for anyone but Bush or repubs" line of thinking. Show me the light oh wise one.

Huey,

1) I don't agree with anyone calling you out "being an expert in economics" there's no need to be one... Even economic specialists have been wrong and they also have opinions, just as we do which too can be wrong.

2) Missouri does matter and I also disagree with the statement made... mostly I think it was made in jest, but obviously due to a sensitive debate, probably not the best place for a joke.

3) Not everyone is voting based on "I am voting for anyone but Bush or repubs" line of thinking... this argument only works for a few, but most are voting based on the issues important to them and then choosing the candidate they see best suited for addressing those issues.

4) Much has been already written repudiating your claims and quotes. I understand the focus on the insults against you, but since much, if not all of your points have been repudiated I would suggest reading through the many comments left and pick up the argument there.

Really all that matters to me is that a President is not a creationist, dominionist type who thinks the world is 5K years old. that's what you'd get with Palin. can't risk a looney with a finger on the nuke trigger.

Ok Inky, you enlighten the world then. Show us your wisdom. My belief is, if you don't live here, you don't qualify to comment on "here". Tell me otherwise. Maybe you can enlighten the US on your superior knowledge.

And, big deal if I get to typing and don't get my spelling correct. Show me an engineer that does and I will give you a lolly pop. We are technical, not grammatical.

"acuse me"??? wtf man, there are posters here that write English as their second or third language and pwn your spelling and grammar. there's no excuse, especially not for a native speaker.

+1 that your political views are angry and shallow. you shouldn't make political threads.

/just saying. had to comment on the bullshit 'technical not grammatical' remark.

I'd say:

"If you didn't grow up, and or at the very least, spend a lot of time living in the USA, you would be hard pressed to understand the nuances of our culture."

However:

"We, the people of planet Earth, are living more and more in a global economy. This economy is made up of all kinds of markets, that are going to take a long time to come together, and begin to function as one family."

Certainly:

"The current economic crisis hits a sore spot with many of us. Sadly, this is really a small challenge on the hard road ahead. We have either begun, and or stand on the cusp of WWIII. Water shortages, resource conflicts, developing countries, economic shifts toward the east. We ain't seen nothing yet. This current Presidency, is certainly no prize. This is a sentence of unmatched stress and tension."

1. Power struggle in Iraq, will cause the government we put in place to collapse.

2. Iran will attack, or be attacked.

3. Darfur will continue to be a civil war, that will soon require military intervention.

4. Russia, China, and India, will soon become economic and military super-powers.

5. World manufacturing, and consumer spending are about to go into a drastic overhaul, that will no longer support each-other the way they did in the past.

6. Man made environmental catastrophe looms.

7. Technology, although highly advanced, is not advancing quickly enough to fix all our problems.

8. Poverty is growing planet wide, the gap between the rich and the poor is now more massive than ever, this beckons a new age of violence. Much like, the post Apartheid era of South Africa.

The list can go on, and on.

Anybody, running for USA President right now, seriously needs to get his head examined. We are still the leader of the free world. We will always be the leader of the free world. The world, is more volatile than ever.

Armageddon? Apocalypse? Biblical and imminent destruction?

I'm not that superstitious. But it sure is weird.

Bottom Line for me is that we dont have some gimp ( bushface) redneck twat with vito power on nukes. Most ppl in politics are the same, in my opinion you have to be a twat to want to run for president - so I don't have a lot of respect for many in parliament...those who ARE good in parliament get pushed aside, and those who start out good turn, its a vivious circle in my opinion, not to mention that its not even the gov running the country but more like the CIA, and their dodgy shit!

A president can't change the country, and If he does, the next president will come along and wipe it all clean...ie Clinton>Bush>Obama> who will continue the cycle?

Congratulations, you seem to have wasted a terrible thing.

( edit )

I'll be more clear, and say, "You come off, like a real knob, with a post like that."

Do you not see, how low you sound, with so much misspent rage in you?

if the US was still just an isolationist country over there who kept to themselves you'd be right, but apparently destabilising the world by invading sovereign nations (the 'founding fathers' would have been appalled at that BTW) is now just par for the course and what the US does has an impact everywhere.

military bases in something like 130 different countries, an economy that drags the whole world down over any hiccups - yeah I'd say we all have a stake in this

she's just a sad example, of no education. You'd never see a Dane, or a Frenchie be that idiotic.
