I need some advice on what soundcard to get, I was advised in the mac shop for production you should get a firewire external soundcard, what is the thoughts of the users of this forum?
I have currently an external usb soundcard with 6 outputs for 3 deck mixing with ableton live but should i be looking for a firewire card if so what ones do the pro's use like Carl Cox, Sasha and other mac & ableton based performers who play out with this hardware? What does Armin use when doing his radio show with Ableton? I'm very interested to know what people use.
I know M-Audio is a respected and good make but I really want to know what the best use or should use
My main use would be for ableton live and also using on the road when in hotels etc for listening to new releases and production (i would guess mainly on headphones). At the moment on my PC I have the Creative Audigy which has been great with it's midi and phono inputs for recording off my mixer live mixes etc. I use a mixer along with ableton.
