Ok guys I have quite a few issues as I have just got it so please bear with me and I hope you can help me out..
1.Why is there no scene selector on the midi controller or have I missed something here, I can’t seem to find a midi button to select the scene on the laptop and I find myself using the mouse..
2. Can someone give me their preferences set up for the midi section please just so I know it’s the same as mine......Also can you give the output settings for the Dj cue set up please..
3. There is only 1 out of the 4 fader channels led’s, lighting up, this is on channel 2, when all four channels are active and playing a scene this is the only one that lights up, what have I done wrong.
4. I noticed when I dropped the eq3, on each channel and assigned it to each low, med and high I had to set the parameters to, -60 to 0, surely this isn’t right, the level seems ok but I didn’t realize I had to go that low to the bottom, the 0 is set at the default setting at the top
5. Also I noticed that my speakers monitor is very quiet, compared to my 2 speakers, I turn it up full wack and it’s not as loud as when I had it running through my pioneer mixer, any idea why.
6. When one of the four channels is redundant for about 2 mins it kicks a scene in without me even touching anything on the midi controller, why is that.......
7.Do you have you control set to ``midi```or ```midi audio``
Sorry for all the questions but it’s a big machine and I would like to get it right thanks guys.

There arent any continuous midi encoders on the Zero 4 so you cant really scroll through anything like scenes. You can assign a button to a scene but thats not really helpful unless you can rock it with only a few scenes.
Do you have the Korg Editor App? That'll shine some light on whats going on with the midi assignments. http://www.korg.com/service/downloadinfo.asp?DID=1347
Did you look at the track Audio Output section in Live?. Look at each channels output settings and make sure you see 1/2 3/4 5/6 7/8 in there. And just send your audio to whatever output you want.
Let me know if you need anymore help.

you don't need endless encoder for that. normal knob is fine and it should be mapped into "scene select" button visible in midi mapping mode on master track.Blip the Kid wrote:There arent any continuous midi encoders on the Zero 4 so you cant really scroll through anything like scenes. regarding other questions: in audio preferecens all korg channels should be activated 1/2 3/4 5/6 7/8 (on LE version only two pairs can be activated). midi learning works if port zero2 is set to "remote" under midi preferences.
to have assymetric eq3 you need rack trick with eq3 which is downloadable here:
http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=80058 (0dB is in the middle, left is total kill, right +6dB)
in "midi/audio" settings you can use mixer eq and have 4 midi knobs per channel.

So your saying my channels should be set to...."midi/audio and not ``midi```` which is what I have set up at the minute......
can some one got through these individually for me please and copy and paste them and then answer them............if some you dont know then thats ok I would,be very grateful.
