Send me your tunes!

Post by MagnusPierre » Mon Nov 03, 2008 8:19 pm

Isn't it annoying that no one listens to your music more than once and make up their minds about it when pure original music needs at least a few listens before its pure geniality shows itself to the listener?

Here you have the chance to at least get me to listen to your stuff for a period of time. I recently joined soundcloud.com and one of the nice features is that people can send you tracks that you can download to your ipod and listen to. I'm fed up with all music that I own and hoping to get some new juicy music that I promise to listen to over a period of time and give an honest review of in let's say a week.

Hope you're willing to participate. I'm dying for some new music.

Regards,
Magnus

Ok, here's the thing:
First times I listened to Aphex Twin I hated it. Now I love it, esp Druqks.
Same with Burial. I detested the sound but then after maybe listening to it ten times in different settings (due to other people) I started to like it. Now I consider Burial to be a genius.

Good music grows on ya like a bad reputation.
Anyway: It was just a thought. If you don't want to share your stuff, fine.

Nice tune you have there!
Feel free to send more. I was hoping to get a varied collection of tracks to get deep with but so far I only received yours.

I promise to listen to everything and frequently for a period of time before I comment each track (in private or publicly is up to you)

Magnus

Ok two artists have been brave enough to send me tunes! ;)
C'mon guys and ladies it is for a good sake.

I'll grab a few from the vault and send them over tomorrow.
But remember; You need to listen to them! :)

I already listened to your tracks 5-10 times already. Feedback later!

Regards,
Magnus

Just realized you can't send stuff that's already up there to someone's dropbox, so I added you to my followed list.

my dropbox in case someone wants to send stuff my way:

Yeah, what's up with that? Shouldn't that be the point? I don't get it.

Holy smoke! DJ Groovy?! :)
I hate to ask you and all the rest this but if at all possible I would like to be able to d-load the tracks. I have very limited amount of face time in front of the computer (two kids and a wife working 150% at the moment) right now but the ipod classic is always close by and active. In your case I believe I just have to go in and buy me some tracks on iTunes? Anything in particular you recommend?

Anyway:
I promise to give a good listen to everything and hopefully I will have something to provide to everyone else as well. (Just need to decide what to pick)

Keep em coming.

Magnus

I only have one track on soundcloud, i've started following you, so you can listen to it.
If you search for dj groovy on itunes or beatport, etc., you'll find my tracks. Can't really recomend anything else, don't know your tastes.

Who knows, feels like there's kind of a missing piece there. I guess it prevents spamming or something, who knows.

Hey Magnus, altough i listened on the crappiest speakers, i thought Dreamer in Hell is awesome! Very moody and emotional. Props.

Thanks Groovy! ;)
The tune comes from a very vivid dream that made me seriously disoriented when waking up. The spoken words where phrases repeated in the dream by a very nightmarish alter ego. Quite an experience! :)

Cheers,
Magnus
