Yes. Yes it does.
as long as america actually "changes" and its not all just empty rhetoric then yes. Unfortunately i fail see to one drop of evidence of this promised "change" can someone enlighten me?
I think most of the America bashing was a result of Dubbaya somehow managing to get in twice. That made Americans fair game. Today they made up for it. :D

Yeah but running a really negative campaign, flogging the Joe the Plumber thing to death, Palin - any rational person could see that that was a stupid direction.

one article I read was saying that McCain would make history either way - either by making the biggest comeback ever or for running the worst campaign ever

there is a difference between america bashing and american administration bashing. Americans are in general peace loving people just like the rest of the world, and i would never bash someone for simply being american. Unfortunately they keep being subjected to tyranny because of the lobbying system and the right left paradigm. This president will be no difference, except scarily everyone is so behind him and the democrats have so much power now that ANYTHING can be done in the name of the peaceful inhabitants of the USA. I hope 2009 doesn't come about like i hypothesise it will.

exactly, it was so simple to see through it was laughable. Any sane person with even an iota of intelligence would have voted obama over a mentally unstable pensioner with a clinical retard as a running mate.

First I should say that America electing a black president is awesome - just amazing. I can't see England electing a Black prime minister any time soon.

And the last thing I wanted to see was another Republican win especially with Palin as vice president, but I thought McCain gave the better speech last night. It really seemed to come from the heart.

Obama's speech sounded so scripted and insincere that I started to have second thoughts about him. Every time he repeated the Yes We Can mantra I was reminded of a Methodist minister's cry of Amen or an Hallelujah. Very disturbing - almost like mass hypnosis.

Enjoy the euphoria while it lasts. But don't get too depressed when the hang-over kicks in.

so your going to bring the troops home from abroad obama?
so your going to abolish the federal reserve obama?
so your going to stop the cia running drugs obama?
so your going to stop poisoning your people obama?
so your going to stop centralisation of power obama?
so your going to reduce the national debt obama?

I guess you think that Rome was built in a day!?!?!?!?!?!?

Give the man a break. He hasn't even taken office yet.

For what it's worth, I as well as most Americans who voted, feel a lot better about the future than I would of if McCain had been elected.

The Republican party is responsible for just about everything on that list that you made. Most of those issues happened on their watch.

bear in mind that two years ago no-one could see the USA getting a black prez in the near future. Things can change fast.

I agree that McCain gave a great heartfelt speech and Obamas was a bit stilted and staged. But, I've never found Obama to be an enthralling or seductive public speaker ... but I don't care about that.
Many historical leaders have been great public speakers with seductive heartfelt manners, but they are shit at thinking and doing. Being a good public speaker means nothing at all. I am good at playing music .. it doesn't follow that I am a great leader of men.
I much prefer a stilted public speaker who can do the right things well.

He seems intelligent, he seems moderate, he seems determined. He is unlikely to bomb the fuck out of Iran just for a mid-term popularity boost. What more can you ask for?

We did elect a female prime-minister 30 years ago though, so we can't be that backwards :D

If you are half white, and half black, why are you African American? Why aren't you Saxon African American or something?
