[Updated 3 Dec 2008: -- I took down the free folders from skydrive for now. I'm moving things around, going to rehost my website, etc (not that anyone cares!) but in any case I will probably come back here and make more announcements sometime for the real bored amongst you!]
[Original post from 7 Nov 2008 follows:]
OK my monkeys, here's what I've been doing since 2006:
The "Ambient" half
The "Noisy" half
and of course you can see all the stuff I have on last.fm with All my albums on last.fm which should be enough to entertain/annoy you for a long time.
I'm experimenting with this Amie Street thing: new project on amiestreet -- see if that excites you.
More than anything, I'd be interested in what other artists/producers/bands people think the tunes sound like. I have my own favorites of course, but others may not agree.
My new project is finally done: "The Secrets of Metals&

Live 9.1 <> occasionally Reason 4.0.1 <> Reaper.latest! <> Windows 7 on a bespoke Intel Q6600 <> ASUS P5E <> 8GB RAM, M-Audio Delta 2496 and that's it.
Yes, I'm following up on my own post...
People have done that here, and much worse.
Anyway, I wanted to explain that part of the reason I announced my "release" here was that all my tracks basically are arranged in Live. I use a lot of soft synths, loops, samples, occasionally Reason, and even sometimes live instruments or vocals but it's all finally assembled and mixed in Live. I mixed tweak the mastering in Sound Forge but lately I'm doing less and less since trying to fight the loudness wars is pointless since I'm not in competition with anything on any radio station.
Also, as a wee giftie to those brave souls who believe in open source and the OGG codec, I've uploaded a number of tracks to a skydrive drive in OGG format for anyone to download. I figure that any tracks that anyone cares about will eventually be shared but hopefully 1 in a 100 will track them back to me and i'll get credit if not a few cents of money for them. In any case.
The place to get the first uploaded batch should be:
http://cid-666e61bedeec871a.skydrive.li ... at%20files
(see the next post for the tinyurl that will get you there more easily)
(by the way, the reason that one file is a lot bigger is that for some reason it was encoded at like 523kbps whereas most of the other ones were encoded at 128kbps. My problem in setting up the encoder parameters obviously...)
